INTRODUCTION |
|
I was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester in the Over the past 40 years I have worked at Hotels and Holiday Camps, travelled the world as a Radio Officer, repaired computers, worked as a Technical Customer Support Manager and an IT Consultant with Hewlett-Packard. After completing my drama training at I appeared as the Russian Ambassador Krushkin in the feature film
THE LERMONTOV EDITION and as Husseini in the 2006 feature film O JERUSALEM. I
have had featured parts in 5 short films. Television credits include work for
the BBC, I am currently available for professional theatre, screen, TV and corporate projects. |

John again played the waiter in Between Mouthfuls for the Greater Manchester Drama Federation One Act Play Festival. John earned a nomination for Best Actor and the play won the Best Play Award. John has also directed the Ayckbourn comedies How the Other Half Loves, Time of my Life and Communicating Doors. |

at Cheadle Players in November 1999 (nominated for Best Actor in the West Pennine District All England Awards) and as Edward in Frank McGuiness's Someone Who'll Watch Over Me (pictured) at Farnworth in March 2000 (Best Actor Award in the GMDF Festival).

In January 2001 John repeated his role as Bernard in Season's Greetings at Phoenix Theatre
Club, In April 2001 John directed The Rise and Fall of Little Voice by former Farnworth Little Theatre member Jim Cartwright. The production was attended by Jim Cartwright and was nominated for Best Play at the Greater Manchester Drama Federation Awards. John won the Best Director Award for the production (pictured with Peter Barkworth at the Award Dinner). The Play also won the 'Bolton Evening News' best production award for 2000/2001 |

In December 2001 John appeared as Henry Perkins in Funny Money
by Ray Cooney at The Phoenix Theatre Club, In June 2002 John repeated his role as Teddy Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace at FLT (pictured).

Bottom in their recent production of 'A

John appeared as John Smith at Bolton's Phoenix Theatre in their production of Caught in the Net by Ray Cooney, pictured below. The production won the Best Comedy Award for 2004/2005 from the Bolton Evening News.
